✵STORY✵
A renowned reporter travels to a foreign land to cover events in a city hosting a world famous street fighting tournament. While having done his research on the competitors and read in-depth the many techniques used by previous reigning champions, this reporter has seen little action himself, much rather sticking to what he knows best-- building a story that will boost his fan base and earn him recognition. What this reporter wasn't counting on was his inadvertent insult of a returning fighter. The slight lands the reporter a black eye and a bruised rib, and the fighter is primed to deal further damage when the fighter's trainer enters the scene and breaks up the fight, only to challenge the reporter to a fair fight. The terms are that he meet the fighter in the ring in one week time when the fighter is set to enter the tournament when his fighting style is featured. The reporter refuses vehemently, knowing he wouldn't stand a chance against this brute, but the trainer is as much of a bully as the fighter, and he harasses the reporter into action. The reporter leaves with his proverbial tail between his legs, when it is announced that he will enter the fights and a fellow competing reporter snidely declares his coverage of the fight. Knowing he cannot back down now, lest he lose his fans to his competition, the reporter immediately sets off to investigate a story lead of a retired prize-winning trainer who lives in the wilds of the district. With his help, the reporter just might have a fighting chance at winning...
