To help keep development going (and Triads' server paid for), the free version is ever-so-tastefully ad-supported. The free version is also limited to 25* online game moves per 24 hours, but AI and hotseat games are unlimited.
*Note that Triads is still being actively developed, so changes (and potentially bugs!) may come without warning. This is especially true for the free version, where limits (like the moves-per-day rule) may be changed or added.

GET_ACCOUNTS: This is necessary to use Google's push messaging service, which allows Triads to stay in sync with the match server without constantly sending requests to the server in the background.
