ABOUT
General Justice
BY THE GRACE OF GOD ALMIGHTY
President of the Republic of Indonesia,
Considering:
a. that the Republic of Indonesia, as a rule of law based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, aims to realize the life order of a prosperous, safe, peaceful, and orderly nation;
b. that in realizing the life order and guarantees the equality of citizens in the law is needed to uphold order, justice, truth, and legal certainty that is able to provide guidance to the community;
c. that in the context of the above efforts, the arrangement of the composition and power of the court in the general court environment which is still based on Law Number 13 of 1965 apparently is no longer in accordance with the soul and spirit of Law Number 14 of 1970;
d. Whereas in addition, with Law Number 6 of 1969, Law Number 13 of 1965 has been declared invalid, but when inadequate is determined at the time of the law that replaced it into force;
e. that in order to implement the Law of Number 14 of 1970, it is deemed necessary to establish a law governing the power and power of general justice;
Bearing in mind: 1. Article 5 paragraph (1), Article 20 paragraph (1), Article 24, and Article 25 of the 1945 Constitution;
2. Law Number 14 of 1970 Regarding the Basic Provisions of Judicial Power (State Gazette of 1970 Number 74, Supplement to State Gazette Number 2951);
3. Law Number 14 of 1985 Regarding the Supreme Court (State Gazette of 1985 Number 73, Supplement to State Gazette Number 3316);
